At UOS India, we want every customer to be satisfied with their purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains when a return is possible, what condition the goods must be in, and how refunds are processed.
1. Return window
Standard, off-the-shelf catalogue items may be returned within 7 (seven) days of delivery, provided they meet the conditions in section 3 below. The return-eligibility window starts on the day the goods are physically received at the delivery address.
2. What can NOT be returned
- Customised, made-to-order, or bespoke-finish products (custom dimensions, custom fabric/colour, custom branding).
- Items that have been used, assembled, or whose original packaging has been damaged.
- Bulk orders manufactured against a confirmed purchase order or government tender.
- Spare parts and accessories.
3. Conditions for return
To be eligible for a return, the product must be:
- In its original, unopened packaging with all tags, labels and protective wrap intact.
- Unused, unassembled, free of marks, scratches, dents or fabric soiling.
- Accompanied by the original tax invoice and delivery challan.
- Returned to our Dehradun warehouse - reverse pickup is at the customer's cost unless the return is due to UOS India's error.
4. How to raise a return request
- Email info@uosindia.com within 7 days of delivery with your invoice number, photographs of the item and packaging, and the reason for return.
- Our customer-care team will respond within 2 business days with a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) and reverse-pickup instructions.
- Pack the product in its original packaging, write the RAN clearly on the carton, and hand it over to our logistics partner.
- Once the goods are received and inspected at our warehouse, we will confirm acceptance within 5 business days.
5. Refunds
Approved refunds are processed within 7-14 business days of the goods being received and inspected, to the original payment instrument used for the purchase. For NEFT/RTGS payments, refunds are issued to the bank account from which payment was received. Original freight and installation charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to UOS India's error or a manufacturing defect.
6. Replacements
If a product arrives damaged in transit or with a manufacturing defect, we will replace it free of cost provided the issue is reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damage and the outer packaging. Replacement units are dispatched within 2-4 weeks depending on availability.
7. Warranty claims
Issues that arise after the 7-day return window but within the manufacturer warranty period are handled under our standard warranty terms - see Section 7 of our Terms & Conditions. Warranty repairs and part replacements are typically completed within 4-6 weeks of claim approval.
8. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled without charge any time before production begins. Once raw material has been cut or upholstery has been started, a 25% cancellation charge applies. Once the product has shipped, the cancellation must be processed as a return under this policy.
